The announcement that from December 1st the successful Town Managers scheme is being expanded to the whole of the Island is a reminder of how much has been achieved on the Island in terms of improving law and order. Congratulations are in order. Crime figures are down, truancy from school is down. In local police community surveys former concerns with drunken unruly behaviour is being replaced by traffic concerns.
